Wildlife Institute of India, an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change is organising an online 3-days webinar on “Marine Mammal Conservation in India: Status, Challenges and Opportunities” from 12- 14 October 2020. The webinar is organised by the CAMPA- Dugong Recovery Program of the Wildlife Institute of India in association with WII-ENVIS Resource Partner Centre on Wildlife & Protected Areas. The webinar will host a series of lectures on topics related to marine mammal research and conservation from leading scientists from India and abroad ending with a panel discussion on the last day. The broad goal of the webinar is to engage scientists, researchers and students to advance scientific understanding about marine mammal research and conservation issues in India.
